Many legal groups are rushing into the breach, filing lawsuits to block mass deportations, stop book bans, challenge voter suppression orders, and fight the dismantling of decades-old civil rights protections. This work is essential. But it’s also reactive—and temporary.

What’s missing is a long-term legal strategy to dismantle the infrastructure behind these attacks: the lawyers who abuse their licenses, the organizations pumping out disinformation, the networks financing and coordinating anti-democratic activity.
